HOW TO CHOOSE A DIGITAL CAMERA
When you are shopting for a digital camera, make a checklist of features and capabilities you want to based on these critaria:
1- RESOLUTION: Dicides how large your finished images need to be, and look for cameras that cam take pictures in appropriate “ MEGAPIXCEL” range. If you usually want to make 4*6 inches prints, get two megapixcel camera. Three megapixcel is great for 8*10s.
2- ZOOM: The bigger the zoom, the more you can enlarge the image. But pay attention to the lowest number of the zoom range, which indicates the wide angle rating, and the biggest number, which is the telephoto setting. Ignore the digital zoom rating, which is more of a marketing gimmick than a useful photo feature.
3- MEMORY: How large is a memory card that comes with your camera? Does the camera also have special internal memory so you can take a few pctures even if forgot the memory card at home.
4- FLASH: Consider the flash range and special features such as red eyes reduction. For serious flash photpgraphy. Look for Camera that accept external flash units.
5- BETTERIES: Does the camera take standard AA batteries or special lithiumion batteries? Does it come with wall adapter or a batteries charger?
6- PICTURES TRANSFERS: One last issue to consider is how the camera transfers images to the PC or MAC-this is a convenience issue. Does it use a standard USB cable? A docking cradle? Does the camera come with a removable memory card reader?
